About Christian

Christian Twiste Photo

I was programming computers at age nine, started selling used cars at fourteen, and was a paid actor at seventeen.  I’ve directed award-winning independent films, authored two novels, four screenplays, and hosted a beauty pageant.

Today, I’m also semi-professional racecar driver who regularly instructs on the open track at Raceway Park in Englishtown,  NJ.  You could say that I like a challenge, but it’s more than that.  I like the learning, the growing, and just the plain doing of life in general.   Perhaps you could call it the “performance” aspect of it, and on my resume I describe myself as a “passionate performer.”  Passionate because I try to bring energy, excitement and commitment to everything I do; performer because I believe I’ve built a reputation for truly delivering each and every day.

Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.
— George Bernard Shaw

This site isn’t intended to be a resume.  It’s supposed to help enhance my formal qualifications by serving as a bit of biography and insight into my areas of interest.  If you’re interested, you can use the contact form to request a copy of my official resume.

Generally speaking, I believe the diversity of my background — a used care salesman and technologist who went to film school and writes fantasy novels in his spare time — has always been one of my biggest strengths, along with my ability to communicate complex topics, the left and right brain storyteller in me.  I thought it might also be helpful to round out my personality by listing the things I’ve been paid to do in life — separate from the jobs actually listed on my resume.  In no particular order, I have performed all of the following services:

  • Hot dog cart manager
  • Used car salesman
  • Cashier
  • Photo lab operator (remember when they had those?)
  • Actor
  • Photoshop trainer
  • Graphic designer
  • Web designer
  • Web developer
  • Animator
  • Audio mixer

If you’re interested, I also detail some additional areas of interest outside the main navigation.
